Quick Answer: Find a food video on TikTok or Instagram, tap Share, select rec'd from the share sheet, confirm the venue, choose a save status, and tap Save.
How to import a video
- Find a food video on TikTok or Instagram
- Tap Share, then tap the rec'd icon in the share sheet
- rec'd shows "Finding..." as it identifies the venue
- Confirm the venue match (tap "Wrong?" if incorrect), choose a save status (Want to Try, rec'd, Liked, or Disliked), and tap Save
- "Saved!" confirmation appears, then you're returned to the source app
What happens after you import
Immediately: The venue is saved to your map.
Within a minute or two: "Word on the Street" dish chips are extracted from the video.
Once fully processed: The video appears in an "On Socials" section on the venue card with a play button, creator handle, and "Your import" label.
Viewing your imports
Go to Profile > Imports tab. Each import shows a thumbnail, venue name, platform, creator, timestamp, and a play icon. Tap any import to jump to the venue card.
The "Wrong?" button
If rec'd matched the wrong venue, tap the red "Wrong?" text on the import save screen to correct it before saving.
