Tips
- Works best with clear mentions β Videos that name the restaurant or show the location clearly will import more accurately
- Check the match β Sometimes restaurant names are common, so make sure rec'd has found the right location before saving
- Add to a list β Consider creating a "From TikTok" list to keep track of places you've discovered on the platform
Common issues
Problem: "I can't see rec'd in my share options" Solution: Make sure rec'd is installed and you're logged in. On iPhone, you may need to scroll to the end of the share options, tap "More", and toggle rec'd on. On Android, rec'd should appear automatically if installed.
Problem: "rec'd couldn't find the restaurant" Solution: If the video doesn't clearly mention the restaurant name or location, rec'd may not be able to detect it. Try searching for the restaurant manually in rec'd using any details from the video.
Problem: "The wrong restaurant was detected" Solution: If rec'd matched the wrong place, cancel the import and search for the correct restaurant manually. This can happen with common restaurant names or chains with multiple locations.
