Quick Answer: When you see a restaurant post or Reel you like on Instagram, tap the share button, select rec'd from the share options, and the place will be saved to your rec'd account.
Overview
Found a restaurant on Instagram that you want to remember? Instead of saving the post and forgetting about it, you can send it straight to rec'd. We'll pull the restaurant information from the post and add it to your saves.
No more scrolling through your Instagram saved folder trying to find that one restaurant from months ago.

Tips
- Works with Reels, posts, and Stories β You can share from any Instagram format
- Location tags help β Posts where the creator has tagged the restaurant location will import more accurately
- Check the match β Sometimes restaurant names are common, so make sure rec'd has found the right location before saving
- Add to a list β Consider creating a "From Instagram" list to keep track of places you've discovered on the platform
Common issues
Problem: "I can't see rec'd in my share options" Solution: Make sure rec'd is installed and you're logged in. On iPhone, you may need to scroll to the end of the share options, tap "More", and toggle rec'd on. On Android, rec'd should appear automatically if installed.
Problem: "rec'd couldn't find the restaurant" Solution: If the post doesn't clearly mention the restaurant name or have a location tag, rec'd may not be able to detect it. Try searching for the restaurant manually in rec'd using any details from the caption or comments.
Problem: "The wrong restaurant was detected" Solution: If rec'd matched the wrong place, cancel the import and search for the correct restaurant manually. This can happen with common restaurant names or chains with multiple locations.
Problem: "I want to import from a Story but it disappeared" Solution: Unfortunately, if a Story has expired, you won't be able to share it to rec'd. Try to import Stories while they're still live, or check if the creator has saved it to their Highlights.
