Quick Answer: Google Maps import is coming soon! This feature will be available during our beta phase. For now, you can search for your saved places manually and add them to rec'd.
Overview
We know you've probably got dozens of restaurants saved in Google Maps — starred places, your "Want to go" list, maybe a few custom lists too. We're building a way to bring all of those into rec'd automatically so you don't have to start from scratch.
When will this be available?
Google Maps import will launch during our beta phase. We'll notify you in-app and via email when it's ready.
Want to be first to know? Make sure notifications are enabled in your phone settings for rec'd.
What to do in the meantime
Until the import feature is live, you can add your Google Maps saves to rec'd manually:
- Open Google Maps and find a restaurant you've saved
- Search the restaurant in rec’d
- Save it to your preferred list
It takes a few extra taps, but it means you can start building your rec'd collection right away rather than waiting.
What will the import include?
When Google Maps import launches, you'll be able to bring in:
- ⭐ Starred places
- 🚩 Want to go list
- ❤️ Favourites
- 📋 Custom lists you've created
rec'd will match your saves to restaurants in our database and add them to your profile automatically.
