Quick Answer: Tap the "Book" button on any venue card to go directly to the restaurant's booking page. Native in-app booking is coming soon in beta.

Step 3: Complete your booking
You'll be taken to the restaurant's booking page — this might be their own website, or a platform like OpenTable, Resy, SevenRooms, or similar depending on what the restaurant uses.
From there, select your date, time, party size, and complete the booking as normal.

Step 4: Return to rec'd
Once you've made your booking, head back to rec'd. Your saved places and lists will be right where you left them.
Tips
- Check opening hours first — The venue card shows today's hours so you can see if they're open when you want to go
- Save before you book — Add the restaurant to a list so you can easily find it again and update your rating after you visit
- Use the Phone button — For restaurants that don't have online booking, tap "Phone" to call them directly
What's coming in beta
We're working on native booking integrations that will let you book a table without leaving rec'd. You'll be able to:
- See available time slots directly on the venue card
- Book with just a few taps — no redirects
- Keep track of upcoming reservations in one place
- Get reminders before your booking
Integrations with platforms like OpenTable are on our roadmap. We'll let you know when this goes live.
Common issues
Problem: "There's no Book button on the venue card" Solution: Not all restaurants have online booking set up. If there's no Book button, try tapping "Phone" to call them directly, or visit their website via the link on the venue card.
Problem: "The booking link isn't working" Solution: The restaurant may have changed their booking system or the link may be temporarily down. Try visiting the restaurant's website directly or calling them.
Problem: "I booked but want to find the restaurant again" Solution: Make sure you've saved the restaurant to your rec'd profile. Go to Profile → Saved to find it. If you forgot to save it, search for the restaurant name and add it now.
Problem: "Can I see my bookings in rec'd?" Solution: Not yet — bookings made through external platforms won't appear in rec'd. This is something we're building for a future update. For now, check your email confirmation or the booking platform's app for your reservation details.
