I found a bug, how can I report it?

Learn how report bugs so we can fix them as soon as possible

πŸ’‘

Quick Answer: Go to Profile β†’ Feedback to report a bug in the app, or email bugs@recd.co with a description and any screenshots.

Overview

Found something that's not working properly? We want to know about it. Bug reports help us fix issues quickly and make rec'd better for everyone.

There are two ways to report a bug β€” through the app or via email.

Option 1: Report a bug in the app

Step 1: Go to your profile

Tap the Profile icon in the bottom navigation bar.

Step 3: Describe the bug

Tell us what happened. The more detail you can give, the easier it is for us to find and fix the issue:

  • What were you trying to do?
  • What happened instead?
  • Does it happen every time or just sometimes?

Step 4: Add a screenshot (optional)

If it helps explain the problem, tap to add an image or screenshot. This is really useful for visual bugs or error messages.

Step 5: Submit

Tap "Submit" to send your report. We'll look into it.

Option 2: Report a bug via email

If you can't access the feedback form or prefer email, send your bug report to:

Please include:

  • What happened β€” Describe the bug and what you expected to happen
  • Steps to reproduce β€” What were you doing when the bug occurred?
  • Device info β€” iPhone or Android, and your operating system version if you know it
  • Screenshots β€” Attach any images that help show the issue

Tips for a helpful bug report

Be specific β€” "The app crashed" is less helpful than "The app crashes when I tap Save on a venue card after selecting Rec'd"

Include steps β€” If you can make the bug happen again, tell us exactly what you did

Screenshots help β€” A picture of an error message or broken layout saves us a lot of guesswork

One bug per report β€” If you've found multiple issues, send them separately so we can track each one

What happens next?

We review every bug report. While we can't respond to each one individually, know that your report helps us prioritise fixes. If we need more information, we'll reach out.

Critical bugs that affect many users are prioritised and fixed as quickly as possible.
